Press Facilities for the Golden Jubilee Feltech were recently involved in providing Press and Media Facilities for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. COI Communications awarded the contract to Feltech who have considerable experience in providing Press and Media Facilities at such high profile events.
A Media Centre was created in Lancaster House adjacent to the ‘
 Press Working Area in The Long Gallery,
An off-air reception system was provided via digital terrestrial and digital satellite so that The Golden Jubilee Press Office and the Press working in the Long Gallery could monitor the other events and news stories of the day.
 Press Briefing Room
A Press Briefing Room was created in the Music Room adjacent to the Long Gallery in order that members of The Golden Jubilee Press Office could brief members of the Press on forth coming events. Feltech supplied and installed a public address system and microphones for the top table and lectern positions. Film and TV Services provided television lighting and power distribution. As part of COI’s brief to Feltech the broadcast feed was relayed to 5 radio booths in order that visiting radio journalists could voice over the live feed of events or record and edit a package and transmit it to base via ISDN telephone lines.
 Equipped Radio Booth
Another of these booths was equipped with encoding equipment and was used to stream coverage of the events live on to the Golden Jubilee Website. Project Manager: Peter Fell
