Feltech Electronics was established in 1989 by Peter Fell; a broadcast television engineer with many years experience at Independent Television News (ITN).
Since those early days, Feltech has grown into a team of highly skilled professionals with a wealth of experience covering engineering, installation, system design, equipment sales and customer support in many areas. The team make-up is such that Feltech's specialists cover the latest developments in Broadcast Television Systems, Satellite and RF installation, AV systems,Video & Audio Conferencing, Digital Signage and IP.
Feltech’s premises incorporate a large warehouse space enabling us to pre-build and test systems before installation on the customer’s premises. The capacity of the warehouse is such that it even allows 45 foot articulated lorries (such as a large OB Trucks) to be worked on on-site. There is also a fully equipped workshop area in which to carry out service work
Essential to the Feltech philosophy is to apply the highest possible standards to our installation work, backed up by the best in service and after sales support. Our staff regularly attends training courses on sales, service, programming of the latest systems and formats.
Our strong relationships with many of the industries leading manufacturers means that Feltech are at the forefront of new technology; often Feltech are the preferred dealer to launch new products and our expertise is sought out by companies as they develop new pieces of equipment, or software upgrades to existing systems.

2000
- Installed a sophisticated boardroom system for Credit Suisse First Boston Bank at Canary Wharf.
- Designed and installed audio and lighting systems for the new press briefing room at the Lord Mayor's Office in Central London. This is the briefing room in daily use by London's newly elected Mayor, Ken Livingston.
- Designed and installed a new television studio and control room for The Police Training College at Bramshill.
1999
- Designed and built two television/AV viewing facilities for Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber. The television distribution system provides RF outlets carrying both analogue and digital terrestrial, satellite and cable TV signals through out the building (6 floors). In the Viewing Room we installed a 'state of the art' rear projection system allowing replay from Betacam, U-matic, DVD, VHS and off-air reception complete with full Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
- Installed an analogue and digital satellite television and distribution system for Luton University
- Expanded and modernised main lecture theatre installation for Luton University
- Re-located and modernised a boardroom installation for Universal International
- Installed AV systems and speaker support in over 30 lecture theatres at Coventry University
- Design, build and install AV system for a boardroom at Maritz Communications.
1998
- Completed a boardroom installation for Visage Productions consisting of multiple PC Inputs, Betacam, VHS, CD, Cassette, Off-Air monitoring and Business Satellite TV reception, displayed on four 42inch plasma displays. The entire system is controlled from a wireless touch screen panel.
- Host Broadcaster Services for The European Conference and The European Council Meeting. We were awarded a contract by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to provide Host Broadcaster coverage for all of the meetings associated with the UK's position as Head of The European Union between January and June 1998. This involved Television coverage of two major conferences in Westminster and Cardiff with distribution to members of the European Press. In addition to this coverage we created a Media Centre for the 3000 Press who covered the European Council Meeting providing them with Broadcast quality pictures, editing booths, playout facilities, master control room co-ordination and satellite links to points all across Europe.
- Re-Engineering of technical areas at Central Office of Information, including telecine and transfer suites.
- Designed and built a fully digital TV Portable Production Unit for Presteigne Broadcast.
- Designed and constructed a 2 x 4 camera Portable Production Unit for Blitz Vision.
- Install broadcast tie-lines for the BBC at various government departments throughout Westminster.
- Relocated and upgraded TV studio and control room for IT Network.
- Designed and installed TV distribution system to transmit video and audio over existing data communications installation for the United Nations war-crimes court in The Hague.
1997
- Installation of Television Studio and Press Briefing facilities with links to Millbank for the Department of the Environment.
- Installation of broadcast quality camera, sound mixing, and editing facilities at The Home Office
- Design and Installation of an off-air media monitoring unit for Central Office of Information.
- Re-fitted and re-engineered a boardroom AV installation for Visage.
- Design and installed a Betacam shooting and editing package for the United Nations in Ghana.
1996
- Press Briefing Room, Conservative Central Office - In December 1996 we were commissioned to re-design and re-install the Press Briefing facilities at Conservative Central Office. This involved modernisation and relocation of the complete system and the addition of a sophisticated tieline system for use by the Broadcasters. We liaised closely with the BBC, ITN and Sky to ensure that the facilities being provided were to their satisfaction. The system was completed on 6 January and was used on-air virtually every day from 7 January to the General Election in May 1997. Contract value ~ £60,000
1995
- Designed and build a 12 camera fully digital OB truck for Creative Technology.
1994
- Host Broadcaster Services for the world's press and media at the Channel Tunnel Inauguration by HM Queen Elizabeth II and President Mitterand. This project involved the provision of all television facilities including a custom built portable Master Control Room (MCR), signal distribution to 34 edit suites, 8 OB trucks, more than 50 cameras and a crew of 220. Part of the brief involved obtaining live pictures from the moving train within the tunnel utilising Eurotunnel's existing data transmission system.
- Design and built a Press and Media suite for the Department of Health with interview room and tie lines to BT fibre optic.
1993
- Designed a videowall signal system for the launch of the Ford Mondeo at Geneva supporting 64 monitors in a 16 x 4 layout
- Press and Media conference suite and television interview room for the Prison Service with Off-Air monitoring and tape duplication facilities.
- Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre - Re-location of the Master Control Room together with associated signal distribution and the addition of a Betacam SP edit suite. All systems re-designed to IBA code of practice.
1992
- Video system design and rack build for 98 monitor video wall controller for the EEC Pavilion at EXPO 92 in Seville.
- Multi-Machine Betacam component edit suite installation for a West-End facilities company
